Homeless man wanted in Thursday morning stabbing incident

A Murfreesboro man claimed to have been stabbed when he broke up a domestic fight Thursday morning, Feb. 1 at a homeless camp off Old Fort Parkway.

The victim, a 34-year-old homeless man, said he stepped between Timothy Travis Daily, 31, and Daily's girlfriend as the two fought. Daily stabbed him before fleeing the scene, according to an MPD incident report.

"We are currently searching for the 'Daily' suspect," MPD Lt. Clyde Adkison said in a news release.

Adkison added MPD has obtained two warrants for aggravated assault and simple assault-domestic for the arrest of Daily. He is described as a white man 6’01”; 175 lbs.; Red Hair; Hazel Eyes; Full beard and mustache.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics from the Rutherford County Ambulance Service before being rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville for further treatment.

This crime is still under active investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit.
