The 20th annual Polar Bear Plunge will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Boro Beach, the outdoor pool at SportsCom. This year Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department is asking for donations to Special Olympics, or a canned food item for a local food bank, as admission to the event.

The "Arctic Adventure" festivities start at 8:30 a.m. in the gym at SportsCom where games, inflatables, hot chocolate coffee, donuts and music will be available. The costume contest will have two categories: Youth and Adult. After the costume contest, all participants will make their way to the outdoor pool to make the jump at approximately 10 a.m.

Afterwards, the indoor pool will be open until 11:30 for all jumpers.
