Cooking and Conversations with a Queen filming

A few weeks ago, I was invited to be a guest on a new cooking show that is filmed in Murfreesboro.

Filmed here and posted on YouTube, Cooking and Conversations with a Queen stars Veronica Paige who shows her viewers how to cook cheap and easy meals for the whole family. She then holds encouraging conversations with her special guests about a wide range of topics.

In the episode I was in, I joined Missy Lay, the wild goose of Wild Goose Chase Events, who was on to promote her upcoming event Clue the Party in Nashville. Missy and Veronica (pictured above) made "Col. Mustard's Chicken and Waffles" before we all sat down to discuss Clue the Party and some other things we've all got going on.

For the past two years, I've helped write the plot and direct the characters during Clue the Party in Murfreesboro. I've been commandeered to help with the Nashville event too. (I help Missy with some of her events by being what she calls her "creative director." I think that means I do whatever she tells me to do.)

Nashville's Clue Party will be a night of mystery, murder and madness on April 11 at the East Ivy Mansion. The party will benefit a couple good causes: True You Tennessee, Focus Center Foundation and Meae Wellness.

Also at Cooking with a Queen was Stephanie Lowe from True You as the main dinner guest. Through her nonprofit, she is raising money to build a home for LGBTQ+ youth, who are in need of a foster home.

According to Stephanie, Tennessee's foster care system is roughly 4,000 beds short in general and kids who are LGBTQ+ are more likely to be refused places to stay. She also said up to 78 percent of LGBTQ+ youth in foster care report being abused while in the system. So she wants to create a safe place with warm beds for them in Rutherford County.

To help build the home, some of Nashville's finest have signed up to play a character at Clue the Party.

The characters are Gabby Sanderson as Yvette the Maid, Jennifer Jackson as Mrs. Peacock, Jeremy Bishop as Mr. Green, Joe "Big Joe on the Go" Dubin as Col. Mustard, Kelly Northcutt as Miss Scarlett, Ron Sanford as Professor Plum, Tiffany Dale as Mrs. White, and Zac Woodward as Wadsworth the Butler.
