Clue The Party

Everyone has a motive at the greatest whodunit costume party that Murfreesboro has ever seen at "Clue the Party."

Hilarity ensues as "Clue the Party" returns for its second year in the perfect setting, and all for a good cause, supporting Murfreesboro Cold Patrol and Oaklands Mansion. The night of mystery is set for Oct. 19 at Oaklands Mansion, when you will have a chance to play a live-action version of the classic board game "Clue."

"There is a murder to solve, just like the board game, and if you guess correctly, you will have a chance to win a cash prize," said organizer Missy Lay, owner of Wild Goose Chase Events. "Plus, the night will feature a costume contest with cash prizes for the best take on the CLUE character you love most. Join us for a fun night of murder, mystery and mayhem!"

Lay added there are a few new features this year: VIP Guests will get an extra hour to roam the mansion and interview the characters; all guests can buy a clue; more story and more clues; everyone who gets it right will be entered to win prizes.

Profits will be split between our historical setting Oaklands Mansion and Murfreesboro Cold Patrol, a local non-profit that works with the homeless here in Murfreesboro.

Homelessness is serious, but Clue the Party doesn't have to be.

This year the cast of the whodunit is made up of Murfreesboro's who's whos.

Judge Gray is played by Brad Hopkins, Professor Plum by Josh Morter, Miss Scarlet by Melissa James, Mrs. Peacock by Mara Smotherman, Col. Mustard by Kara Kemp, Mrs. White by Mary Fugitt, Mr. Umber the Butler by Matthew Stump, and finally Rusty Brown the French maid by Shawn Hackinson.

These characters have gathered at Judge Gray's Mansion for some unknown purpose and things go awry when local reporter Joel Coal turns up dead.

As lead detective, it's up to you to figure out who killed Coal with what and in which room of Gray Mansion. But don't forget, Communism is always a red herring.

Was it Miss Scarlett in the hall with the revolver? Or Mrs. Peacock in the lounge with the candlestick? Or could it be Col. Mustard in the conservatory with the knife?

Can you solve the mystery of Clue?
