On Friday morning, April 27, two women, who turned out to be twins, were arrested after they were seen trying to drunkenly break into a bail bond company on the corner of New Salem Pike and Bridge Avenue, according to records from the Murfreesboro Police Department.

It was around 7 a.m. when an employee of the bail bonding company came to work and saw the women using a card in an attempt to force the door open.

"(The witness) advised she then asked them what they are doing and they couldn't advise anything and got in their vehicle and left," the report said.

Video surveillance of the suspects showed the attempted break-in, according to an incident report. It showed one of the suspects try several times to gain entry before the other took over and tried unsuccessfully herself.

About an hour later the suspects, "who appeared to be under the influence," were reported to be in the parking lot of Embassy Suites.

Officers observed at a distance the vehicle stopped in the intersection of Conference Center Boulevard and Silohill Lane. By the time he made it to the SUV, the vehicle had begun traveling on the wrong side of Silohill Lane toward Medical Center Parkway, according to the report.

The officer was able to pull over the driver, identified as Julie Blankenship, 43, who appeared to be driving under the influence. The passenger, Joy Blankenship, also appeared to be drunk.

Julie Blankenship was charged with DUI. Joy Blankenship was charged with DUI by allowance. Both women are also charged with attempted burglary.

BothBlankenships bonded out of the Rutherford County Adult Detention. The bail bonding company was not noted in the report.
