Murfreesboro attorneys Scott Kimberly and Hunter Fowler want all citizens to know their rights when dealing with police. That's why they are presenting an event titled "Can Police Do That?"

In its fourth year at Middle Tennessee State University, the criminal defense attorneys will discuss interaction with the police, constitutional rights, and a number of other issues in the legal field.

“We have found over the years that the issues we discuss in this class are issues that affect everyday citizens,” Scott Kimberly said. “We want people to know their rights when interacting with police and we want to educate people in a way that is both informative and entertaining, drawing upon the years of experience and various situations that we have encountered.”

The series is sponsored jointly by the MTSU College Democrats, the MTSU College Republicans, and the Young Americans for Liberty.

The series is scheduled to take place over three weeks in April, with all events starting at 7 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018; Tuesday, April 10, 2018; and Tuesday, April 17, 2018. All events will be held in Room SUB 221 in the Student Union Building at Middle Tennessee State University.

Kimberly and Fowler will present the seminar with retired criminal defense attorney Richard Kimberly. Combined the attorneys have more than 30 years of experience in criminal law and criminal justice.
