One of the main hubs for Delta Airlines MSP Terminal is Terminal 1 (Lindbergh Terminal) at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). SkyPriority lanes, curbside service, and self-service kiosks are among the convenient check-in methods available at the terminal. Several Delta Sky Clubs are available to passengers, offering free food, beverages, Wi-Fi, and comfortable work areas. Family-friendly services, pet-friendly zones, ADA-compliant buildings, and a variety of food and shopping options are all features of Terminal 1. Ground transportation, shuttle service, and light rail all provide easy access to the airport. Delta guarantees a seamless, contemporary, and traveler-focused environment with continuous upgrades to enhance comfort, technology, and gate experiences. Convenience and comfort are provided by one of the busiest and best-equipped Delta terminals in the United States.
When approaching, customers are able to use several check-in methods, such as customary counter service, self-service machines, and convenient curbside check-in at both west and east curbside locations. The newly added east curbside, accessible by parking ramps or light rail, serves to spread out traffic and thin crowds, making check-in easier for travelers.
Security in Terminal 1 includes standard TSA lanes within the central mall and SkyPriority lanes for Delta One, First Class, and SkyTeam Elite Plus customers. TSA PreCheck travelers also receive expedited processing. A three-hour arrival before international departures is advised by Delta to have enough time through check-in and screening.
Ground transportation is continuous: Terminal 1 is connected to Terminal 2 through the free Blue Line light rail, and the internal Airport Transit System (ATS) provides interconnection between all terminals, parking structures, and rental car centers. Ground-level bus stops, taxi and rideshare stands, and rental car operations are all just outside the terminal.
Terminal 1's amenities are thorough. High-speed Wi-Fi in all of the terminal is free, supplemented by extensive charging stations. Families are catered to with nursing rooms, baby-changing facilities, and children's play spaces in multi-terminal settings. Accessibility is also integrated well, including wheelchair aid, electric carts, tactile floor, and ADA-usage restrooms to provide comfort for all travelers.
Being a Delta hub, MSP boasts three Delta Sky Club lounges in Concourses C, F/G, and the newest and largest of them in G. The cutting-edge MSP-G Sky Club—opened in April 2023—is larger than 21,000 square feet and accommodates more than 450 guests. Design features honor Minnesota's heritage, such as an open-air seating Sky Deck, living plant wall, and natural light. Amenities consist of buffet meals using local ingredients, full-service bars, self-service kiosks for check-in, quiet work booths, and shower suites. Delta's commitment to sustainability can be seen through waste diversion programs and daylight-maximized interiors. Other Sky Clubs are located close to C12 and the beginning of Concourse F/G, providing all the signature comforts of the Sky Club experience.
Dining at Terminal 1 is diverse and regionally influenced. Passengers can choose from popular eateries like Wok Box, Ric’s Lounge & Grill, Shan’s Kitchen, Chili’s, Belgian Beer Café, and Maple Leaf Lounge. Retail options include duty-free liquor and luxury goods, newsstands, travel essentials, and unique attractions like an indoor golf simulator managed by PGA.
Passengers requiring a respite can stop by XpresSpa facilities that provide massages and grooming, or check out quiet spaces and rest areas located along the concourses. Wellness programs also incorporate pet relief stations and state-of-the-art health and sanitation measures.
Delta Airlines at MSP Terminal is being completely overhauled in a collaboration between Delta and the Metropolitan Airports Commission, which will cost more than $300 million combined. Upgrades feature new terrazzo floors, renovated ceilings and lighting, revitalized seating with power availability, upgraded signage, and updated gate areas all the way to hotel-like atmosphere and coordination with other Delta hubs like LAX and ORD.
