DETAILS: President McPhee will give his traditional State of the University address to hundreds of faculty and staff for the Fall Faculty Meeting to kick off the new academic year.
ACCESS: Media members will be allowed inside Tucker Theatre for McPhee’s address. Mask/face covering is optional. McPhee will be available for interviews following his address, which will touch on university accomplishments, challenges and opportunities for the upcoming academic year. Classes for the Fall 2022 semester begin Monday, Aug. 22.
For those unable to attend in person, the speech will be broadcast on the university’s livestream channel, https://mtsu.edu/live and its Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/mtsublueraiders. Download links to B-roll clips and photos will be available afterward.
ETC.: In addition to McPhee’s address, the event will include recognition of faculty promotions; honorees for the annual MTSU Foundation Faculty Awards, including the top award, the Career Achievement Award; and emeritus faculty.
