Bridgestone Americas, Inc. made a special delivery to Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) on December 21 with a 53-foot fully enclosed emergency response trailer – and a new set of Bridgestone tires.

MFRD is the host agency for the Middle Tennessee All-Hazards Incident Management Team, a component of the Tennessee Fire Chief’s Association Statewide Mutual Aid System.

This donation underscores Bridgestone’s commitment to promoting safer communities through prevention and readiness for emergencies. The unit will be utilized for the command staff’s work in developing the incident action plans, and the trailer’s canopy can be used for operational briefings for all responders. Additionally, the trailer will be beneficial to MFRD to use on major incidents within the city limits, as well as special events and mass gatherings across Middle Tennessee.

“The trailer is perfectly designed and fully equipped for the work of the incident management team,” said Fire Rescue Chief Mark Foulks. “We are extremely grateful to Bridgestone for the donation.  It is a life-saving asset for MFRD and our regional and state partners.”

City Council voted to approve the donation on Thursday, Nov. 30.

The trailer was delivered to Fleet Services on December 21. Once a few modifications are completed, the unit will be transported to Station 10 on Veterans Parkway where it will be stored until it is called for action.
