Stories of Christmas Generosity in Rutherford County

A woman in her forties with five under the age of ten grandchildren living with her came home to a refrigerator and pantry filled with food.  Additionally, there was a fully decorated Christmas Tree and presents for each of the grandchildren.  The woman said she had prayed and prayed for a Christmas Day Miracle, but had no idea it would be so tangible and visible, and she feels truly blessed.

A woman in her fifties, a disabled husband, and a young daughter were seriously wondering how in the next year their mortgage would be paid.  While the husband struggles to be approved for disability, the woman works to provide the needs of her family and the savings has ran dry.  She received a phone call and her mortgage has been paid, not for one month, but the entire balance paid off.  This allows her to live without the fear of loosing her home and providing for her family, she truly now owns her own home because of the love and generosity of another.

There area so many stories like the two above; Rutherford County Clerk’s, The Salvation Army, local church’s, firefighters, police, deputies, and so many others collect and give to thousands in our local community every day.  If not for Angel Trees, food pantries, good Samaritans, and loving citizens, many in our own back yard would go without, and not just at Christmas, but every day.

Rutherford County is a beautiful place to live and raise a family because of the love of the people.  Be a part of change and continue to keep Rutherford County a beautiful place to live.  Contribute to help another today.
