The Arrowhead Boys Ranch will be holding its annual barbecue and auction fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 239 Cortner Mill Rd. in Normandy.

Delicious barbecue platters will be served as well as free hot dog meals to children under 8 years old. The cost is just $12 per plate when you order in advance and $15 at the gate. The Silent Auction and ranch tours begin at 4 p.m., dinner served at 5:30 p.m. and the Live Auction starts at 7pm.

“It’s going to be a perfect fall day. If you haven’t seen our beautiful ranch nestled on the Duck River, this will be a great day out in the country. We can’t say it enough, but we couldn’t make this happen without our faithful volunteers and very generous sponsors. Come on out and have some great barbecue, fun and fellowship,” Executive Director, Darren Delin said.

Attendees can enjoy a guided hayride tour of the ranch, the scenic beauty, music and the always entertaining live auction. Additionally, there will be activities for kids, such as face painting and bounce houses.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to expenses such as housing, counseling, food, health care, transportation and activities for the boys at Arrowhead Ranch. The Arrowhead Boys Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, long term residential care facility for boys ages 10-16 years old that are dealing with conflict and misguided direction in their lives. While at the ranch, the boys learn the importance of hard work and team building while in a Christian family environment. Arrowhead Ranch’s goal is to instill hope and a sense of purpose into the boys as they grow into young men.
