On Saturday, Dec. 2 at 8:05 p.m., a fatal crash occurred at 2500 Memorial Boulevard, according to a press release from the Murfreesboro Police Department.

The crash involved a single vehicle, a 2006 Ford Mustang, which was traveling north on Memorial. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole and a tree, resulting in the driver’s death.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Fatal Accident Crash Team, however drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors.

The driver was a 17-year-old male.
