Want to name a park? Here's your chance

The City of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department is asking citizens to share their suggestions by participating in a web survey.

The survey is to obtain West Park name suggestions. The West Park is on a 123-acre parcel of land bordered by Blackman Road, Burnt Knob Road, Veterans Parkway, and I-840 in the Blackman area known as the McDonald Farm property.

The survey is an opportunity for citizens to be a part of creating a unique and meaningful name to this new addition to the park system.

The survey asks for your contact information, suggested name, and explanation (if you choose to add one) and takes about 1-3 minutes to complete.

The survey must be copied and pasted into your URL and is available online at https://www.cognitoforms.com/CityOfMurfreesboro1/West.

The survey’s anticipated end date is at 5 p.m. Dec. 31.
