Welcome to Mindful Care

The 13-year-old nonprofit, Mindful Care, has operated out of New Vision Baptist Church since its inception.

"They have been wonderfully generous over the years," says Tom Tozer, board president. However, the church is expanding its programs and needs to utilize the space occupied by Mindful Care. In short,, Mindful Care must vacate New Vision by June 30, 2021, and find a new home.

Mindful Care serves people age 55 and up who have early to mild dementia, including Alzheimer's. It provides joy, comfort, and constructive activities--including professional music therapy--as well as serving as a life-preserver for caregivers.

It might be a commercial space, but a costly lease would be out of the question. A church in Rutherford County, one with unused space during the week, might be the solution. Any facility and location will be considered.

Criteria would include space on the ground floor, separate restrooms, handicap accessibility, and sufficient parking. Ideally we would need 2,000 square feet, but much would depend on the configuration of the space.

If anyone knows of a facility that might work for us, please contact board president Tom Tozer at 615-653-6209 or ttozer@comcast.net.
