Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, appointed State Rep. Mike Sparks, R-Smyrna, to serve on four House committees for the 112th Tennessee General Assembly. 

Sparks will serve on the House Commerce, Education Instruction, and Finance, Ways, & Means Committees, along with the Finance, Ways, & Means Appropriations Subcommittee.

“As a small business owner, Mike Sparks has the knowledge and experience that will make him a valuable and key member of our House Finance Committee,” said Speaker Sexton. “I appreciate his dedicated service to his constituents, community, and our entire state, and I know he will be incredibly successful in his committee roles.”

Sparks said. “Passing sound policy in the areas of commerce, education, and finance is key to ensuring Tennessee’s success. The House will reconvene on Monday, February 8, 2021.
