Rutherford County Democrats to hold workshop about selecting delegates

Rutherford County Democratic Convention

Every four years, voters select a candidate to represent them in the Presidential Election and those candidates are represented by delegates at the Democratic National Convention.

Democratic delegates will represent every state in the union in July 2020 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to select the Democratic nominee.

The delegates who will represent Rutherford County will be chosen at the Rutherford County Democratic Convention. It will be held after the March primary at 11 a.m. March 7, location to be determined. As many as 400 people will be selected to pick our delegates to the convention.

To prepare for the convention, there will be a workshop, conducted by DNC At Large Member Dr. Marisa Richmond to explain how the process works and how you can be involved. The workshop will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 219 Mixed Cuisine Restaurant, 219 N. W. Broad St. in Murfreesboro.

Suggested donation at door $10 to support the Rutherford County Democratic Party. Food and drink are available to purchase.
