Exchange Club 46th Annual 'One National Under God' Prayer Breakfast

The 46th annual Exchange Clubs' "One Nation Under God" Annual Community Wide Prayer Breakfast was held Tuesday, Nov. 26 at The Embassy Suites Murfreesboro.

The "One Nation Under God" project was adopted on July 30, 1964, by Exchange leaders seeking to heighten awareness of our rich religious heritage. The community can join together to increase public appreciation of the important roles religious faith and freedom have played in our nation’s history. The program helps remind all Americans of our religious freedoms.

The Keynote Speaker for the 2019 community breakfast was Roxane Atwood, an award-winning journalist who spent 12 years as a writer, producer, and talent for The Nashville Network.

Roxane produced the television shows Opry Backstage and Opry Live from the Grand Ole Opry before a seven-year run producing Bill Anderson "Visits With The Legends" for Sirius-XM. A former news anchor on KTVT in Dallas/Ft. Worth, her other credits include author, radio air personality, emcee, television talk show host, segment producer for NPT’s Tennessee Crossroads, writer for the Inspirational Country Music Awards, contributor to the CMA Awards, Pentagon Channel, various CBS specials and Time Life.

Roxane also serves on the board of Country For A Cause and has raised thousands of dollars for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. As co-chair of Nashville’s annual Dottie West Birthday Bash, she continues to raise substantial donations for the AFM’s Musicians Emergency Relief Fund.
