40+ Newly Trained Firefighters Graduate from State Fire Academy Oct. 31

NASHVILLE – Over 40 newly trained firefighters will graduate from the Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy (TFACA) during a ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 in Murfreesboro.

Created by the Tennessee General Assembly in April 1996, TFACA is a section of the Tennessee State Fire Marshal's Office and is dedicated to enhancing the safety of every Tennessean from the hazards of fires, natural disasters, and terroristic acts by providing state-of-the-art training to firefighters, emergency first responders, and codes enforcement personnel. 

Details of Thursday's graduation are as follows:

TFACA Classes 1903 and 1904 representing the following career and volunteer fire departments including Bedford County, Brentwood, Charlotte, Collierville, Columbia, Cookeville, Crossville, Hendersonville, Humboldt, Lenoir City, Manchester, Martin, McMinn County, Milan, Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Shelbyville, Smyrna, and Wilson County Emergency Management Agency.  

The ceremony will be held at New Vision Baptist Church, 1750 N. Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro.
