Turkey Tee Off benefits the Child Advocacy Center

"The Turkey Tee Off golf tournament is 'fore' the children!" said Child Advocacy Center Development Coordinator Katie Enzor.  "The funds raised from the golf tournament will provide critically needed services for children who have been victims of child abuse, child sexual abuse, and children who are exposed to their parent's drug abuse."

The Turkey Tee Off golf tournament will be held at Cedar Crest Golf Course on Saturday, Nov. 2. Start the day at 8 a.m. with breakfast complements of Waffle House before teeing off at 9 a.m.  Have your team picture taken, put your putting skills to the test, and aim for a chance to win the $10,000 prize in the hole in one contest.  Join us for a Slick Pig BBQ lunch, door prizes, and silent auction after your round of golf.

"The Turkey Tee Off committee is currently recruiting local businesses and individuals to sponsor the event," continued Enzor. "Become a sponsor and show friends, family, and the community your commitment to Rutherford and Cannon County children!"

Levels of sponsorships range from $50 to $5,000, and individuals can golf for $100. The deadline to sponsor the golf tournament is Monday, Oct. 28.

Over the last 19 years, the Child Advocacy Center has worked with the Department of Children's Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney's Office to investigate and prosecute over 15,233 child abuse cases, assisted 22,807 individuals, and trained over 11,000 adults how to protect children from child sexual abuse.  "The community support of this golf tournament has helped make this possible," Child Advocacy Center director Sharon De Boer said.
