The local storytelling series Bloom: The Stage Where Our Stories Grow will return to the Walnut House on Thursday evening, October 24, with a one-night show called “Moonlight, Magic, and Mystery.” This multigenre event will weave live music, words and art. Participating creatives include:
  • Leeann Love with art and a story
  • Jimbo Hooten with magic and a story
  • storytellers Nick Bush and Kheanne Fontaine
  • poetry by Amie Whittemore
  • and performances by organizers KJ Kemp and Kory Wells.
Donations will be accepted at the door, which opens at 6:30 PM for the 7:00 show. Ticket reservations are encouraged by contacting karajkemp@gmail.com. All reservations are released 10 minutes prior to show time.

Two open-mic slots, five minutes each, will be available to interested audience members to share a story or poetry. Open mic entrants should prepare a story or poetry on the theme of moonlight, magical moments, or the mysteries of life.

Bloom is a quarterly event that brings a blend of storytelling, poetry, music, and art to the Murfreesboro stage. The series is produced by storyteller Kara Kemp with assistance from poet Kory Wells.
