Harper Grace is a 24-year-old Texas native who has been coming to Nashville since she was 14 years old.

The rising country star's initial experience in the spotlight came at just 11 years old when her first public performance of the National Anthem didn't go as planned, eliciting widespread criticism from an array of online observers and media outlets. But that didn't deter her.

At just 16 Grace was on American Idol where she placed in the top 50. By the age of 20, she decided to make Nashville her permanent home where she is an avid songwriter.

In 2023, Grace signed with curb records and released her first single with them, "Sparkle" and then "Oh Say Can You See" a song that is a reminder to her 11-year-old self to never give up.

"Getaway" is a dreamy upbeat song about getting away from the rat race with your significant other. It came out in 2024.

In 2025, the queen of collaborations teamed up with Mason Ramsey for "Live Lonely," Franklin Jonas for "IDK," and labelmate Kelsy Hart for a radio remix of her song, "Freedom."

Following high-profile appearances at River On the Rooftop, Live in the Vineyard, CMA Fest and on the "TODAY" show, Grace unveiled "Under My Skin," on 8/15. The newcomer's smoky vocal holds the tension of a love that knows how to push her buttons while also being hard to resist.

When she wrote the song alongside the duo MSquared from Melbourne, Australia, she was going in a completely different direction as she was speaking about fighting for a failing relationship. They told her, "We're both married. We have kids. And I can tell you that the sense of upset frustration that you have, we've never experienced. This isn't good."

Written in 3/4 time as waltz, initially, you think "Under My Skin," is a love song, but It's really being stuck in something that you can't get out of. When Grace finally removed herself from the doomed relationship, she realized that "this is not a love song."

Also written alongside MSquared, Grace released "Take It To the Grave." The sass is back with a hearty blend of front-porch Gospel, vibrant Cajun and modern Country that showcase the Texas native's diverse background. The boy better watch out because after one kiss from her, he will never be the same and he can take that to the grave. Her confidence is back in spades and we're here for it.

Grace credits her mom for her courage. "My mom always instilled within me that I could do anything I set my mind to, that I was enough that I had the confidence to walk with my head held high and my shoulders up, not in a way that's like you know judging other people, but in a way that makes you feel good about yourself and who God made you to be," she shared.

In the video "Take It to the Grave" Grace plays this character who thinks she is really cute and dances around a Western saloon. Everybody just loves but she doesn't fully understand what's going on.

With her vast vocal range, and innate gift for writing songs that matter, she appears to have been at this a lot longer than her age belies.

Harper Grace will finish her tour with Walker Hayes ahead of the holiday break. Look for some new Christmas music this year and lots of new music in 2026.
