A local attorney is celebrating Valentine's Day in a unique way. He will give away a free divorce to the person who presents the most convincing story as to why they should be released from their matrimonial bonds.

One winner, selected by the Law Office of W. Scott Kimberly, will receive a free divorce, which includes the office charging no fee for legal representation in the divorce. Please note that the client will be responsible for court costs and filing fees.

“For a lot of people, Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love,” Scott Kimberly said. “But for some, because divorce is so expensive, they remain married to someone they don’t love and can’t afford to do anything about it. We want to help change that for someone.”

Entrants are encouraged to share their personal story as to why they deserve a free divorce.

The Free Valentine’s Day Divorce Contest is limited to Tennessee residents and the office reserves the right to limit the selected winner to an uncontested divorce with no or minimal child custody issues.

“Maybe the person we help hasn’t found new love this Valentine’s Day,” Kimberly said. “But we can help them close a chapter on the old.”
