Halloween in the Park in Smyrna

The Smyrna Parks and Recreation’s Halloween in the Park returns to Sharp Springs Natural Area this weekend. Featuring costume contests, haunted hayrides, a haunted corn maze, games, prizes, and more, this event has been a staple in the Smyrna community for 25 years.

“Halloween in the Park is one of the largest events the Town of Smyrna hosts,” Smyrna Parks and Recreation Director Mike Moss said. “We are grateful for the support of our community, our colleagues, and Town leadership.  Events like this bring our community together and help maintain our small-town feel.”

Halloween in the Park is Saturday, October 23, 3-8:30 p.m., in Sharp Springs Natural Area.  For those wishing to enter the costume contest, times are as follows:

3:15 p.m.: ages 3 and younger
3:45 p.m.: ages 4 - 5

4:45 p.m.: ages 8 - 9
5:15 p.m.: ages 10 - 14

5:45 p.m.: ages 15 and older

Entry to Sharp Springs is available from Espey Drive or Jefferson Pike; follow directional signage.  Admission is free, with a $2 charge for the hayride and $3 charge for the corn maze.
