The public is invited to the summer City Hall rotunda exhibit Rhythm and Resonance: Expressionism in Stereo featuring works by artists Dalia Garcia and Deb Wellborn. The exhibit runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, starting Tuesday, June 29 through Thursday, Aug. 26. A reception for the artists during the Boro Art Crawl is scheduled for Aug. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the rotunda. Admission to both the reception and the exhibit is free.

Garcia uses bold, powerful, vibrant colors as synonyms for happiness and exhilaration. She gently connects the human factor, evoking a childlike wonder and innocence. The versatility of acrylic paint affords her the flexibility to create an easy, yet energetic vibe. Dalia uses her passion for music, dance, and travel, to make her dream world comes to life. Wellborn’s art reflects her deep desire to elicit strong emotion, imagination, and passion. She uses heavy body acrylics and modeling paste, creating bold textures for colorful expressions in her abstract and representational-abstract work. Expressive female emotion is her current favored subject. To learn more about Wellborn, visit artbydwellborn.com.
