Missing Alzheimer's patient found in Rutherford County

A man with a history of Alzheimer’s disease, who was reported missing after he did not return from a grocery shopping trip, was later found Friday night, Nov. 17 in Rutherford County.

Wilson Douglas Taylor, 90, of Halls Hill Pike left his home to go grocery shopping at Kroger on Lascassas Highway about 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Taylor was located safely at a convenience store at Memorial Boulevard and Compton Road and has been reunited with his family.

"The Sheriff's Office thanks everyone who shared the post," said Lisa Marchesoni, public information officer for the Sheriff's Office. "We depend on our community. Thank you for responding."

Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies searched for Taylor. He was reported as driving a maroon Chevrolet Silverado truck with Tennessee license plate 263-DYL.
