Enjoy the warming hints of spring with these fun family events around town.

Friday, February 26- Saturday, February 27: Peruse the shops in downtown Woodbury during Canon County’s WinterFest! Grownups can enjoy local coffee on the square by Rustic Grounds, while the kids have a ball with train rides by D & H Railroads. Cost: Free admission.

Saturday, February 27, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.: Get a fresh fix at the Lascassas Farmer’s Market, where you ‘ll find artisan breads, fresh eggs, no-spray produce, and farm-made body products by Hanson Farms. Cost: Free admission.

Saturday, February 27, 10 a.m.: The whole family can get a workout—and some giggles—at the Goat Yoga fundraising event at Events at East 96. Dress warmly, bring your own yoga mat, and get ready to stretch with the “kids” from Mini Creek Farms! Cost: $25 minimum donation towards Mini Creek Farms.

Saturday, February 27, 6-7 p.m.: Yoga, donuts, and fun, oh my! Girlfriends can get in on the Goats Gym Murfreesboro’s first girls-night event, complete with farm-yard companions, sweets from Tailored Donuts, and a goody bag to take home. Cost: $35. (13) Girl's Night Out | Facebook

Saturday, February 27, 10-11 a.m.: Discover the weightless thrill of breathing underwater in this Discover Scuba Diving program at Beyond Aquatics. The workshop helps participants master some basic concepts and scuba skills in a fun setting. Cost: $75.

Sunday, February 28, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.: Join the Discovery Center for music, puppets shows, storytelling, and hands-on activities celebrating Black History during their Black History Celebration Free Day! Register by selecting your 2- hour time block online. Cost: FREE.

Sunday, February 28, 11 a.m.: Take advantage of an awesome brunch menu from My Roots Curbside Culinary and live music from Amanda McCarthy all afternoon at HopSprings. Cost: Free admission.

Sunday, February 28, 2- 3 p.m.: Ages 8 and older can enjoy this workshop at the Barfield Wilderness Station on Beatrix Potter and her naturalist endeavors which shaped her classic illustrations (register online). Cost: FREE.

Sunday, February 28, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.: Ages 7 and under can jump and play for 2 hours in glow lights at the GLOW Little Leapers event at Skyzone Murfreesboro! Cost: $14.99.

Sunday, February 28, 3:30-5 p.m.: Paint your own adorable porch leaner just in time for Easter at RE-Invintage Home. This popular workshop sells out quickly, so register soon! Cost: $59.95.

Sunday, February 28, 2-5 p.m.: Ages 7 and up will have a blast creating a custom portrait of their favorite furry friend at Painting with a Twist. Cost: $55.
