It's Valentines weekend and there's family fun in the city -- from kid-friendly workshops to parents night outs. Don't forget to shop local hot spots for gifts and goodies (hint, hint, check out my 14 Shops for Unique Sweets), and most of all, spend time with those you love!

Friday, February 12 - Saturday, February 13: Shop and play at the "Celebrate Love" weekend at Kingdom Acre's CBD & Hemp Farm in Bell Buckle. Golden retriever puppies are onsite for play and guests of all ages can shop special Valentines gifts including soaps, tinctures, edibles and pet products. Saturday, February 13:  Kiddos can get a little wild with Outdoor Murfreesboro's Wild Things workshop at 1:30 p.m. the Barfield Wilderness Station as they introduce the center's education animals. FREE. https://bit.ly/3tPpbbK

Saturday, February 13: Ages 4-12 can play and learn from 6-10 p.m. at this fun Parent's Night Out Event at Kid's Cove at Fountains with games, kid-friendly movies, pizza, and crafts. Tickets are $25 for the first child, with each additional $20. Tickets at https://bit.ly/3qeejSC.

Saturday, Februrary 13: Littles can climb, craft, and play to their heart's content at the Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center's Parent's Night out from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for non-members. Registration information on Facebook 

Saturday, February 13: Celebrate Chinese New Year at Discovery Center! Explore Chinese culture, including music and arts, and traditions of the Lunar New Year. Sponsired by the Nissan Foundation. FREE.  Note: Due to capacity limitations related to the COVID pandemic, DC is offering multiple time slots for visitors to choose from on a first-come, first-served basis of up to 100 people.
