The Soda Bar dessert shop and Homegrown Marketplace home décor and gift boutique celebrated a joint grand opening Wednesday, Nov. 1 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. and delicious cookie dough dessert samples from 4 to 9 p.m.

The Soda Bar serves 16 flavors of specialty ice creams and 12 craft sodas on tap – which can be paired with ice cream to create delectable floats – as well as Hawaiian shave ice and signature take-out treats such as edible cookie doughs.  During the colder months, The Soda Bar will also serve a variety of hot chocolate drinks, coffees and mochachinos.

Homegrown Marketplace offers a wide range of home décor as well as stationery, gift and specialty food items. Many of the products are produced by Tennessee artisans. Customers who discovered the store before its official opening frequently described it as a “mini Magnolia,” a nod to the popular Waco, Texas-based home store.

Located in an adjoining storefront facing the central Fountains Plaza event area, Homegrown Marketplace is open Tuesday through Friday11 a.m. to 8 p.m.Saturday10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday1 to 5 p.m.  The Soda Bar is open Monday through Friday5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdaynoon to 9 p.m., with extended hours posted for special events on Fountains Plaza.

The signature concepts were created by Hearthstone Properties. Consultants Karen Ford and Danielle Worrell, previous owners of Goodness Gracious at Readyville Mill and The Front Porch Café, worked with Hearthstone to hone the concept and establish operations for The Soda Bar.
