Tennessee Fisher House

The Tennessee Fisher House located on the campus of the Alvin C. York Veterans Administration Medical Center in Murfreesboro is a 12-suite "home away from home" that provides a place for families to stay, free of charge, while their loved one receives inpatient medical care at the VA.

The house is beautifully furnished and features a shared, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, dining room, living room and sun room. The bedroom suites all have private bathrooms for personal comfort. Families with patients at the Nashville VA Hospital may also stay at the Tennessee Fisher House. 

Officers for 2020-2021 are Tom Allard, President, Shelbyville; Tom Hickerson, President-Elect, Smyrna; Andrea Lawrence, Secretary, Brentwood; Don Wright, Immediate Past President, Murfreesboro; Keith Lawrence, Treasurer, Brentwood; Board Members are Joe Baltz, Mt. Juliet; Cliff Hardy, Mt. Juliet; Stephanie Sturdivant, Madison; Zachary Smith, Manchester; Bill Griggs, Bell Buckle; Louis "Lou" Ferraro, Murfreesboro; Dr. Ron Wright, Murfreesboro; Brandon Hulette, Franklin. We are always looking for volunteers.

Our mission: We are dedicated to the enrichment of the quality of life of active duty military, veterans, and their families who stay at the Tennessee Fisher House while a loved one is undergoing extended medical treatment at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System or VA approved facility. We believe a family’s love is good best medicine.

Tennessee Fisher House Foundation depends on public donations to continue its important work. Without your help we would not be able to offer necessities and comfort items to our guests so that they do not have to be concerned about anything but their ill, or injured, loved one.
