Murfreesboro Police identify 26-year-old man as victim in fatal crash

Fatal crash on South Rutherford Boulevard

On Saturday, July 20, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Murfreesboro Police Officers responded to a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in 2700 block of South Rutherford Boulevard.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a GMC Sierra pickup was exiting the Blue Apartments and attempted to turn onto Rutherford and when it was struck on the side by the motorcycle.

Personnel with Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services (RCEMS), with assistance from Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department, began treating the two motorcycle passengers on the scene.

William Quinn, 26, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Camden, Tennessee was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Colleen Healey, 51, of Camden, was stabilized at TriStar StoneCrest Hospital and later transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. At last check, she was listed in stable condition.

The driver of the pickup, Teondre Wells, 24, of Murfreesboro, was not injured.

The crash is under investigation by the Fatal Accident Crash Team (F.A.C.T.).
