Have a 'Roots rendezvous' with Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Jake Leg Stompers at Uncle Dave

Uncle Dave Macon Days will spread the love of authentic roots music in a unique way on two stages -- Macon Manor Stage and the Dixie Dew Drop Stage -- July 12 and 13.

The two-day event will feature its ususal National Old time Music Competition along with night-time performances from nationally recognized Americana and Roots performers.

The “Concerts After Dark” series starts Friday night, July 12 with Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Malpass Brothers, Po’ Ramblin Boys, Jake Leg Stompers, The Two Tracks, The Pilots, Mickey Harris Family, Dave Adkins and Zac Top.

It continues Saturday, July 13 with performances from The Isaacs, Balsam Range with The Tennessee Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, David Adkins, Uncle Shuffelo and His Haint Hollow Hootenanny, Grasstime, Glade City Rounders, and The Cleverlys. 

Throughout the festival’s National Old time Music Competition is the best in authentic roots music with participants here locally, across the nation, and worldwide. This Tennessee Department of Tourism “Top Summer Sizzlin’ event continues with the “Motorless Parade” complete with buggies and wagons. The parade will make its way down historic Main Street to Cannonsburgh at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13.

Other family friendly events taking place throughout the festival village includes heritage activities for children, mouth-watering local concessions, a juried arts and crafts show in Matilda Macon's Artisan Village, Dave Macon’s Marketplace, and a historic photo exhibit.

With nearly 20,000 in attendance, roots music enthusiasts, looking for an authentic old-time experience will stroll through a reconstructed pioneer village with an ice-cold lemonade in hand while listening to the warm harmonies on the porches and pickin’ under the trees near the banks of Town Creek in Cannonsburgh.

Such a value for only $10 each day.

The celebration takes place in Cannonsburgh Village, a reproduction village created for our nation's bicenntennial. The village is home to more than 20 restored log structures and will feature living history demonstrations during the weekend.
