The Rutherford County Farmers' Market (RCFM) opens for the season Friday, May 10, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lane Agri-park Community Center.

The producer-only farmers’ market vendors hail from more than 20 Middle Tennessee counties and sell a wide variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, baked and canned goods, flowers, and plants. All RCFM vendors grow, harvest and/or manufacture the goods they offer.

Representatives from The Better Boro Project will be on hand to distribute free reusable bags to the first 100 in attendance.

“As part of The Better Boro Project (BBP), the Rutherford County Farmers’ Market is a great place to buy healthy ingredients for meals,” said Jennifer Joines, BBP Coordinator. “The vendors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.”

The market is located in the indoor/open air Community Center at the Lane Agri-Park, 315 John Rice Blvd in Murfreesboro and will be open Tuesdays and Fridays until October 29, 2019. Cash, credit, debit and EBT payments are accepted.

The Better Boro Project is a city-wide Mayor’s initiative designed to promote healthy nutritional habits, an environmentally sound community and accessible fitness activities for the citizens of Murfreesboro. For more information, visit betterboro.com.
