Dr. Boni is opening her psychology practice in Murfreesboro to serve Rutherford and surrounding counties. She is affiliating with Middle Tennessee Psychology at 1134 Dow Street. She will be joining Doctors David C. Mathis, Kathryn Hahn, and Joan Frye, all Licensed Psychologists.

Dr. Boni obtained her Doctorate in Psychology from Carlow University in Pittsburgh and completed her residency in Health Psychology at Conemaugh Health Systems, the largest healthcare provider in west central Pennsylvania. She went on to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Health Psychology at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, the only CARF-accredited freestanding pediatric specialty rehabilitation hospital in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Boni brings a wealth of experience with children, adolescents and families and has a long history of providing specialized treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Behavioral Disorders and Eating Disorders. Additionally, she is able to provide treatment for both women and children with a history of trauma or abuse and has extensive training in both ABA and DBT approaches. Dr. Boni delivers evidence-based treatment via a Multimodal therapy approach to counseling, which allows for uniquely tailored interventions to address each patient’s individual needs. In addition to counseling services, she offers diagnostic evaluations, assessments and consultative services to individuals, families, pediatricians and schools.

Dr. Boni has a passion for the advocacy of underserved populations and has volunteered her time and expertise to NAMI, The American Diabetes Association and, most recently, The Arc of Tennessee. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending weekends with her family and pets, as well as river boating and traveling to new places. Dr. Boni currently has openings for children, adolescents and women affected by trauma or abuse.

“Based on my own life experience and research, I know how difficult it can be to find a provider that has expertise in childhood disorders, and how stressful parenting a child with challenges can be. Early and accurate diagnosis and treatment makes all the difference for these families and allows for new directions to evolve. I take great pride in being able to offer specialized services that can potentially, and dramatically, impact a child’s developmental trajectory.”

Dr. David C. Mathis, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has practiced in this area for many years, commented: “We are very fortunate that Dr. Boni has chosen to make Murfreesboro her professional home. She has invaluable experience and expertise, as well as a commitment to high quality, professional services for children, individuals and families. There a clear need for additional pediatric psychology services in our immediate area and we are very pleased that Dr. Boni has chosen Murfreesboro as her professional home.”

Dr. Boni is currently accepting new patients. To make an appointment or to obtain more information about Dr. Boni, call 615-624-4494 or visit www.midTNpsychology.com.
