Murfreesboro Police Department Sgt. Mark Wood (pictured above) graduated from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, MPD announced in a press release.

The School of Police Staff and Command is an intensive management development program that instructs law enforcement managers on a variety of topics of study which include: Leadership and Management, Budgeting, Contemporary Policing, Employee Relations, Organizational Behavior, Statistics, Planning and Policy Development, and Resource Allocation.

Wood joins several other MPD command staff members who have graduated from the program and MPD anticipates a variety of benefits from Wood’s participation in this program.
