Trunk or Treat

Ninjas, Disney princesses and movie characters are expected to parade at the Trunk or Treat event Halloween night at the Sheriff’s Office.

Events include a SWAT Bearcat vehicle, Mounted Patrol horses, emergency vehicles and food vendors so parents don’t have to cook supper.

The event will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 940 New Salem Highway.

Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh invited children and parents to enjoy the annual event.

“Trunk or Treat gives parents a safe place with a family atmosphere to bring their children for Halloween,” Fitzhugh said. “The children enjoy petting the horses and touring the emergency vehicles.”

Halloween music will be playing throughout the evening.

Several businesses and organizations will pass out candy.

Slim Chickens will be serving up chicken tenders.

People interested in participating are asked to call Sgt. Jimmy Cassidy at 615-904-3019 or send email to jcassidy@rcsotn.org.
