Reox Automotive has closed its doors on Broad Street but hopes to reopen in another location, owner Danielle Sapienza announced.

"We had some unexpected events happen that has caused us to make a difficult decision to close," said Sapienza, who took over the business a year ago with her husband Joe.

Sapienza didn't give a timeline but confirmed they are looking to relocate.

"And also beings we have always placed honesty and communication as a priority to our customers, it would be hypocritical of us not to follow through to the end of what we practice within our company," Sapienza said.

Sapienza said she and her husband didn't know anyone when they moved to Murfreesboro in 2012. But since taking over Reox, they have turned customers into friends

"It was comforting to us to get to know those throughout Murfreesboro as they needed their repair service. We had a long year of changing this company’s reputation, obtaining loyal customers, and making it important to us to never forget our roots," she said.

So it was with a heavy heart that they had to reassess the business's future after an increase in rent and a key investor (Sapienza's father) pulled his support in the wake of a medical diagnosis.

"Though we gained so many new customers, we really couldn’t afford to stay here anymore. The rent had really eaten up a lot of our possible profit," she said.

Sapienza said they are looking for a new repair shop where they can continue to serve the community.

"I hope that God can guide us through to our next journey," she said.
