Fourth suspect charged in June 27 shooting

The second victim in a shooting last week has been charged with first-degree murder for his alleged role in the death of a 27-year-old Murfreesboro man, according to a press release from the Murfreesboro Police Department.

Albert Mustapha, 20, of Nashville, is accused of participating in the attempted robbery and shooting of Dylan Biddle Jr., who died from his injuries.

"The investigation revealed he was involved in the deadly shooting of Mr. Biddle on Old Lascassas Road. He was released from Vanderbilt Hospital today into the custody of Murfreesboro Police to be booked into the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department," MPD spokeswoman Amy Norville said.

Three suspects--Lesean Janell Savage, 20, Kyle Fugett, 20, and Chasitie Smith, 23--were charged with first-degree murder for their alleged involvement in the death of Biddle.

They are currently being held without bond at the Rutherford County Sherriff’s Department.

MPD was responded at 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 to 1311 Old Lascassas Rd. for a report of a gunshot victim.

Officers discovered the victim, Biddle, 27, of Murfreesboro. He was treated on scene by Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department personnel and transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford by Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Five minutes later, officers responded to a second call at 1807 Greenland Drive for a gunshot victim who was looking for a ride to the hospital.

The second victim, identified as Mustapha, was treated on scene by MFRD personnel and transported to Saint Thomas by Rutherford County EMS.

He was later transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for further treatment. He is currently in critical condition.

This investigation is still in the preliminary stages. Updates, including any suspect information, will be updated as it becomes available.
