A Clarksville man was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night on Northfield Boulevard, according to a press release from the Murfreesboro Police Department.

At approximately 7:15 Friday night, June 29, MPD officers responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle on West Northfield Boulevard near Tudor Place.

The investigation revealed the motorcycle driver,Derossi Leon White, 33, of Clarksville, was westbound on West Northfield Boulevard and failed to negotiate a curve causing it to strike the curb and eject the driver.

The driver was treated on the scene by Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services for life-threatening injuries. He later died from those injuries at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
