Riverdale girls basketball head coach Keri O'Neal has resigned.
Principal Tamera Blair said, "I appreciate her hard work during the time she has been at Riverdale. She has been a positive leader and carried herself as an example for our girls. I wish her the best for continued success."
The Lady Warriors finished the season at 3-21 and are 10-39 in the last two seasons. Blair said, "Historically, Riverdale has been a winning program, and that is what we want to continue. We will begin our search for a new coach immediately."
Riverdale has won seven state championships since 2007, their last coming in 2018. They were also won national champions in 2012, 2017 and were runner up in 2018.
