The 22nd Annual Special Kids Spring Golf Classic will be held Thursday & Friday, May 12 & 13 at Indian Hills Golf Course (405 Calumet Trace, Murfreesboro, TN 37127). Registering teams have the option of participating one or both days of the event to benefit the local work of Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center, a non-profit organization serving families including children with special needs in middle Tennessee.

The tournament will begin with registration and lunch provided to players beginning at 11:30 AM both days. A shotgun start will mark the official beginning of play shortly after at 1 PM. The Special Kids Spring Golf Classic will follow a "four-person scramble" format. Red tees, mulligans, as well as other extras and contests (putting green competition, "hole-in-one" promotion, etc.) will also be available for participants to enjoy. Event organizers and golf course staff will host an awards ceremony at the end of each day of play. Local golfers can sign up for the tournament at the cost of $150 for a single player or $600 for a team of four.

The 2022 Special Kids Spring Golf Classic will also mark the first tournament in the event's 20-plus-year history to be coordinated through the "Golf Status" smart phone app. Registered players are asked to download the app in advance before arriving to the course for play. Designed to benefit similar golf events nationwide, "Golf Status" allows participants to conduct several functions of the tournament directly from their phone, including event registration, purchase aforementioned "upgrades" including red tees and mulligans, track their score during play, and view a live leaderboard populated by other teams taking part in the tournament.

Special Kids would like to thank the Presenting Sponsor of the 2022 Special Kids Spring Golf Classic, Nissan. Businesses and organizations looking to sponsor the event, along with any supporters looking for more information about registration or set up through the "Golf Status" app are asked to reach out to Special Kids Event Specialist Catherine Woten at cwoten@specialkidstn.com
