MTSU’s efforts to recruit students for 2022 and beyond continues this week with the first of two True Blue Preview events and the wrap-up of the MTSU Promise Tour.

 The university’s Office of Admissions recruiters and staff host prospective students and family members for the True Blue Preview starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, in the Student Union.

 Visitors can enjoy the full campus experience during the True Blue Preview, as top university officials welcome future Blue Raiders to campus. Prospective students can participate in academic and department presentations, take tours, obtain information about financial aid and scholarships and choose from many special interest sessions.

 “We’re excited to welcome students and their families to campus to meet our faculty and advisers and hear more about the university and our academic programs,” said Laurie Witherow, associate vice provost for Admissions and Enrollment Services.

 “Whether students are taking a first look or if they’re already admitted to MTSU and are coming to get a feel for our community, we’d love to welcome everyone to campus on Saturday,” she added. 

The second True Blue Preview will be Saturday, March 26.

MTSU Promise Tour recruits transfer students

 Admissions’ staff conclude a three-week statewide swing to court prospective transfer students, with Feb. 8-10 stops in Nashville, Jackson and Dyersburg. Visits include:

• Tuesday, Feb. 8 — Nashville State Community College (White Bridge Road campus).

• Wednesday, Feb. 9 — Jackson State Community College.

• Thursday, Feb. 10 — Dyersburg State Community College.

MTSU staff will be at each college from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing information and answering questions. Prospective students can apply for free during the visits.

 There is a Feb. 15 deadline for transfers to apply to receive a guaranteed scholarship if they qualify.
