The Stewarts Creek Middle School robotics represented well at a South regional competition held at Auburn University last weekend.

The competition is hosted by the non-profit BEST Robotics Inc. — BEST is an acronym for “Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology.

To compete at the Auburn event, the Stewarts Creek team had to first qualify at the local level, which they did at a competition in October at Lipscomb University.

Here are the awards that the SC Robotics Team received at the 2017 South’s BEST Regional Robotics Championship held at Auburn:

  • BEST Middle School Award
  • 2nd place Founder’s Award for Most Creative Design
  • 3rd place for Most Robust Robot
  • 8th place out of 63 for the robotics competition (we made it to the semi-finals)
