Former Tennessee State Rep. Joe Carr (R) has formally thrown his hat into the ring for Rutherford County Mayor in the upcoming Republican Primary, taking on incumbent Bill Ketron.

Running on a platform of putting the people of Rutherford County first, it will make for an interesting race as we watch the two Republicans go toe to toe on their plans for Rutherford County and who will ultimately earn the coveted slot of the 2022 ballot.

Incumbent mayor, Bill Ketron, recently announced his bid for the Republican nomination and his re-election. No words on a democratic challenger yet.
