Mariah Phillips, the Democratic challenger to incumbent State Rep. Charlie Baum, announced she raised over $100,000 since her campaign began, the most from a Democratic candidate since the lines were redrawn in 2010.

Phillips raised $100,342 from 914 contributions and 86 percent of contributions were $100 or less.

“This milestone shows how strongly Mariah’s message is resonating with the people of District 37,” said Cooper Lewis, Mariah Phillips for Tennessee Campaign Manager. “Rutherford County wants leadership that represents their values, and Mariah’s fundraising numbers are proof that working families are ready for change.”

Mariah Phillips is one of the top-raising Democratic challengers in the 2020 Tennessee legislative race. Her district covers northwest Rutherford County. Phillips is running on a platform to expand Medicaid, fully-fund public education, and create a fair and equal economy for all Tennesseeans.
