Highland Avenue Traffic Detour

Water Resources Operations and Maintenance (O&M) is scheduled to begin work on water and/or sewer replacements in the N. Highland neighborhood, beginning Monday, Aug. 24, 2020.  No through traffic will be allowed on streets where sewer and water line improvements are being constructed.  Traffic on N. Highland Ave. will be detoured around the affected areas during construction upgrades.

“The improvements will be constructed block-by-block, restricting traffic flow in designated areas other than for residents who live in the areas impacted,” said Assistant City Manager Darren Gore. “Crews will allow residents access to drive-ways during the three-to-four-week construction for each block section, weather-permitting. This will be a rolling road closure, so crews will work to limit the impact on traffic flow as they move from block to block.”
