This is what 1,575 pounds of peanut butter looks like

During State Farm's 2019 Volunteering in the Neighborhood Peanut Butter Collection Drive, employees in Murfreesboro donated 1,575 pounds of peanut butter to Nourish Food Bank, according to a press release from the company.

"The holidays have passed but the spirit of giving is still strong. We continue to support giving at State Farm throughout the year, not just at the holidays, by allowing our employees the opportunity to give back to local organizations who serve families in need," said Melody Williams, coordinator of the peanut butter drive.

Peanut Butter is a great item for food bank donation as it is high in protein, contains essential nutrients and vitamins, has a long shelf life and can be eaten for any meal. Based on the average peanut butter sandwich having 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, their contributions equal 25,200 sandwiches for the hungry.
