Rutherford County Fire-Rescue

On Thursday, Feb. 21, Rutherford County Fire Rescue's Squad 52, under the direction of Capt. John Ingle, went out to remove flood waters near a local group home for people with disabilities, which is located off of Sulphur Springs Road.

The group home had to deal with water entering the houses during previous occurrences of heavy rain.

Considering the special needs of the citizens residing in the area, RCFR wanted to make sure no one was displaced and prevent any water damage to the homes, said Lisa Sloan in a news release.

Squad 52 was able to pump 200,000 gallons of water away from the affected location, keeping flood water from entering the homes.
