Minority businesses needed to work with Rover

A Rover consultation meeting for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 11 at Patterson Park Community Center.

The Federal Transit Administration, in accordance with 49 CFR Part 26, requires the establishment of an overall Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal for Federal Fiscal Years 2019-2021, consultation with minority, women’s and general contractor groups, community organizations and other officials or organizations which could be expected to have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged business.

Types of items procured with Federal Transit Administration USC 5307 funding are Bus Washing Services, Janitorial Supplies, Uniforms, signage, communication services, marketing, construction, design, architectural and engineering, etc.

All qualified DBE’s must be registered with and approved by the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation Unified Certification Program. Information regarding this certification can be found at here.

Patterson Park Community Center is located at 521 Mercury Blvd. in Murfreesboro.

The overall goal for Rover Public Participation has been preliminarily set at 5 percent on all Rover Public Transportation contracts utilizing Federal USDOT grant funding over $250,000.
