Michael Cole joins staff at United Way

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties recently hired Michael Cole as the Vice President of Collective Impact and Strategic Initiatives.

“We are thrilled with the addition of Michael to United Way’s team”, said Meagan Flippin, President and CEO of United Way. “He brings a robust skill set coupled with a high degree of talent and United Way experience, and I am excited to see him advance our United Way’s mission in the community.”

Michael Cole brings more than 20 years of experience to the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties. He has served as the Director of Resource Development at the United Way of the Ozarks in Springfield, Mo., Vice President of Planning and Community Services at the United Way of the Ocoee Region in Cleveland, Tenn., and CEO of the Bartlesville Regional United Way in Bartlesville, Okla. Michael also spent time with Meals on Wheels in Tulsa, Okla., as Vice President of Finance and Operations.

“As a Tennessee native, I’m really looking forward to utilizing my years of experience to make a difference in the community,"Cole said. "In this position, I will be driving change in a way that will produce measurable outcomes for the community in a way that lifts every member of our community up.”

 As the Vice President of Collective Impact and Strategic Initiatives Cole will be responsible for the United Way’s collective impact, strategic initiatives, community investment and volunteer collaboration.
