Protecting the surface of a dining or antique table is essential for preserving its beauty and long-term value. Everyday activities such as dining, entertaining, and working can expose tables to scratches, spills, dents, and heat damage. While chemical coatings may provide limited protection against minor spills, only Tabletop Protector Pads deliver complete coverage and reliable defense against daily wear and tear.
What Are Tabletop Protector Pads?
Tabletop Protector Pads are custom-made coverings designed to safeguard table surfaces from damage. They act as a protective barrier against scratches, nicks, and accidental heat exposure, ensuring your furniture remains in excellent condition for years. These pads are especially valuable for high-end or antique tables where maintaining the original finish is a priority.
Handcrafted Construction and Superior Materials
Each of our Tabletop Protector Pads is handcrafted by skilled artisans who bring experience, precision, and attention to detail to every product. Every pad is custom-made to fit your table’s exact dimensions and shape, ensuring full coverage and a seamless appearance.
The construction features a carefully engineered three-layer design. At the core is a 7/16-inch thick, light-density, smooth fiberboard that provides strength and stability. This core is wrapped in a velour-like underlining that protects the table surface from scratches. On the top side, two layers of insulation felt are laminated to create a 3/16-inch cushioning layer, which is then covered with durable vinyl. The finished pad has a total thickness of 5/8 inch, offering the ideal balance of flexibility and durability so it lies flat and secure.
Only water-based adhesives from Indiana-based manufacturers are used, and animal glue is never part of the process, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible production.
Customization and Environmental Standards
Tabletop Protector Pads are available in 22 vinyl color options and eight velour underlining shades, allowing homeowners to match their décor effortlessly. The vinyl is produced in New Jersey, while the velour materials are manufactured in Massachusetts by companies that adhere to strict environmental standards. All materials comply with California Proposition 65 regulations.
Heat Protection and Secure Interlocking System
These pads provide protection from accidental heat exposure up to approximately 550–600°F. However, to maintain the pad’s surface, extremely hot or cold items should not be placed directly on the vinyl.
For larger tables, multi-section Tabletop Protector Pads are secured using the reliable Quick-Lock™ interlocking system. This durable mechanism prevents sliding and separation, offering superior performance compared to magnetic connectors.
Tabletop Protector Pads combine expert craftsmanship, durable materials, and custom design to provide unmatched protection—ensuring your furniture remains beautiful, functional, and well-preserved for years to come.
